It has been nearly three years since the release of Alter der Ruine’s widely praised third album Giants From Far Away (Crunch Pod). In that time we saw ourselves touring, playing festivals and finding a home at the European label ProNoize. During those years new material would pop up sporadically offering a glimpse into our evolution and creative directions; and we would receive many messages asking when the new album would be out? We honestly had no answer at that time.
It is now 2011 and we can safely say the new album will be out very soon. It is titled “There’s Always One More Son of a Bitch”.
The foundation of ADR was laid long ago and has been expanding ever since, this album is a perfect representation of that. It is a collection of extremes, every song was left to be defined by its own energy and chaos. We allowed things to breathe this go around and weren’t afraid to let the songs get more melodic and smooth. But with that came our insistence that the loud get louder and the grit get grittier.The end result is something intense and new from Alter der Ruine. It is one more son of a bitch.
